Meanwhile I have been chasing down why the Z keeps driving poorly. After a lot of debugging, finally chased it down the the ignition switch, and then to the wiring to the ignition switch. I never did find out exactly which crimp was failing, but with two new wires between the ignition switch and the power relay everything seems to be working. We’ll score this one as an assembly failure that finally caught up to us. Honestly, there are probably a 1000 crimps in each car, so I’m happy so few have failed over the last 10 years. A bunch of zip ties later and everything should be ok now.
