Request for Residual Value For Half-Life Racing

Judge Phil,

We have two cars that we would like for you to give us a residual value assessment on.  Our last race was at Vodden the Hell?

Now that Button Turrible is upon us, we have finally gone over the jalopies and oh, what a mess.  However, they are what we have, and we will make a go with them.

As for a review of the MiaDa, the high pace of Thunderhill did not treat us well.

When testing the systems, we are definitely down on engine compression.  The cause of this maybe the fact that we're destroying the motor, or my ineptitude.  (Those choices are not exclusive.)

In the end, without a complete engine tear down, this can't get any better.  So, in true form, we have elected to ignore.  What we could use is "thicker oil to hopefully get that compression back" ($25), gear oil ($15), and grease ($8) to repack those pesky bearings.

Everything else we will need to live with.  So, we request that the residual value for the MiaDa be $452.

For the Z, things never looked better (HAH!)

Like the D, all the fluids need exchanging ($40). Also it appears the curbs were not kind to us (or more likely the drivers too aggressive.) The upper control arm bushing has failed.  Then when we looked for replacement bushing, these items appears not to be available for this car.  So, we must create our own.

To do that we need a can of casting urethane ($24) and a lot of patience.  In the end, for the Z, we're looking at a residual value of $436.

To review, can you give us a residual value for the MiaDa $452 and for the Z $436.

Thank you for your time, and your kindness knows no bounds

Muddy
